'Hell Hammer' Heavy Rifle

The Hell Hammer began as a custom-built, heavy blaster rifle, created by a retired armorer who needed a heavy hitting weapon to fend off the large predators around her farm. Her 'simple' goal was to create an anti-material rifle that would be light enough and handy enough to be carried slung over her shoulder, and fired while standing without any support. (it should be noted that the gunsmith was a Wookiee, so 'easily portable' may not apply to smaller species) After a few years of successful use, and making a few copies for friends and family, a representative from a local armament company visited the farm and, seeing the power of the custom rifle, arranged to build and market it. After a few tweaks for mass production (replacing the hand-crafted wooden grips and furniture and leaving off the extensive engravings) the newly dubbed 'Hell Hammer' heavy rifle was released. The rifle sold well among other big game hunters and other beings needing heavy firepower for predators, as well as military sales. In an attempt to increase sales, the short-barreled (shorter ranged, but no less powerful) MkII was introduced.
